1. Repurpose
For the first month or so, don't try to stress yourself out by creating new email content. Go through previous campaigns, Blog posts, IG posts, Twitter threads and YouTube videos to source your email content.
2. Out With The Old
If you didn't audit your email list last year, theres no time like the present! Remove inactive subscribers, record your numbers, and review your tags and segments.
3. Start Brain Storming
As you're reviewing previous content you've shared, keep a running list of possible email topics, subject lines, and potential offers.
4. Work on your strategy
Start small by identifying your email marketing goals and how often you want to send your emails. It helps to look at a holiday calendar and get an idea of how you'll use email around these holidays.
5. Don't stop promoting
It's a new year which means that people are looking for solutions to their problems. Promote your email list or lead magnet 1x/day to position your brand as the answer they're looking for.
No need to rush your way into email marketing this year! Take your time and build a foundation that will support you throughout the year.
