Getting your mindset right is the #1 thing you have to conquer if you want to get results with email marketing. As the popular saying goes,

"You are your worst enemy and best asset".

From serving clients from all walks of life over the last year and a half, I can tell you that the most successful clients are those with the right mindset and attitude, who have the right beliefs about email marketing.

Myth #1: “No one is going to open my emails”

The goal is not to "get subscribers to open emails".

The goal is to deliver value with every email.

And that means sending that email regardless of the outcome.

Email marketing is a long game and consistency is how you win.

If subscribers don’t open or click, they'll have another opportunity next week.

Focus on being a valuable resource for them until they're ready.

Myth #2: “Im bothering my subscribers with these emails”

This is a whole LIE!

Your subscribers are subscribers BECAUSE they want to get your emails.

They want to hear from you.

They want to know what’s going on with your business.

They ASKED for these emails.

And if at any point they don’t want to receive your emails, they will unsubscribe, which makes room for your perfect client on your list.

Myth #3: “My emails aren’t good”

I can totally understand why you'd believe this because I’ve been there myself, but I have seen time and again that I am my biggest critic.

And guess what...you probably are too.

Here’s what I know about you:

You’re a BEAST at what you do.

You help your clients get real results

You have the best service on the market right now.

This is more than enough evidence that your emails are worth reading.

And even if your emails aren’t the best, your core audience, those ride or die clients and internet besties, will stick with you as you work out the kinks.

They will appreciate your growth and be happy to tell others about it.

Keep writing and sending those emails.

Why is believing in these 3 myths problematic?

Because believing in these 3 myths will stop you from being consistent with your email marketing and showing up for your community.

Your confidence takes a hit, you don't seek help, and subsequently, you don't write the emails that help to grow your community and make sales consistently.

As someone who does email marketing for a living, I have seen breakthrough after breakthrough and I know that it is not difficult to build a thriving email list, people just don't have the right guidance to succeed when it comes to email marketing.

Many people search for information online fruitlessly, and when that doesn't work, they give up. I don’t want you to give up because I know it's possible!
