Here are a few ways you can start using email marketing in your business, no matter what type of business you have!

If you're in ecommerce, meaning you sell digital or physical products, email marketing is the perfect way to highlight your products and how to use them. You can use email marketing to promote sales and give discounts.


The holidays are coming up so you're probably expecting to run sales during that time and promote them on social media.


Well, so is everyone else!


Add email marketing as a way to stand out and stay at the forefront of your customers’ minds.


Starting now, you can use email marketing to let your audience know exactly what products you have available to purchase, otherwise known as product showcasing.


Another easy way to stay connected with your subscribers using email marketing for if you’re in e-commerce is to let subscribers know about events you’re hosting or participating in.


Over the last 2 years, virtual pop up shops and online conferences have been common.


Keeping subscribers in the loop with these and in person events when they ramp up again give subscribers an opportunity to connect with you and for you to strengthen connections.

It’s not widely encouraged, but Influencers should absolutely be using email marketing and here are a few ways how.


The first way is through community building.


Influencers should reinforce the values that are important to their community and highlight ways to uphold them.


Next, and this one is important, cross promoting platforms. Let's say you’re an influence and your platform of choice is Youtube. And although YouTube is where you’ve made her bread and butter so far, you also have a website, an Instagram page, and an active Twitter profile.


Ycan use email marketing to highlight what you’re doing on each of these platforms so your supporters can stay in the loop.


Finally, Influencers can use email for affiliate marketing.


Here’s an example of affiliate marketing: Imagine you are a diehard Canva user and you mention it to your friends and followers every time you get a chance.


Well Canva wants to leverage the fact that you love their service so much and are always talking about it. So they give you a special code and when your community purchases a plan using this code, Canva gives you 10 free credits and they’ll get a % off their purchase. Sometimes your reward is in the form of credits to use on their platform, but many times, the reward is money!


When you share platforms you love with email subscribers, it helps your community find resources they need and can help you earn passive income in the process.


There is no one way that you're supposed to use email marketing.


In reality, to see success with email marketing, you’ll need to use a number of the avenues shared in this article.


The key is to build relationships with your potential customers, educate your audience on what your brand has to offer and find various ways to build a community that is value based AND profitable.
